Will you come to my home to measure?
Of course! We provide a free, no obligation shop at home where we professionally measure your windows, show you samples and fabrics, and then provide you with a quote.
How do I measure my own windows?
There are two types of measurements, INSIDE MOUNT and OUTSIDE MOUNT. Inside mount is when there is enough space to put the blind directly inside the frame of the window. Measure from frame to frame in inches, and from top to bottom in inches. Hunter Douglas will make their appropriate deductions so that the blind perfectly fits in your frame. Outside mount is when there isn’t enough space to put the blind directly inside the frame of the window. Measure from the point the brackets will be installed from left to right, and once again from top to bottom where the blind will hang. Hunter Douglas will not take any deductions, and this will be an exact measurement.
Will you still come to double check my measurements?
We prefer to take responsibility of the measurements of all the blinds that we sell. Although we are meticulous in the measuring of all windows, any slight error will be our responsibility to remake. Each different product that Hunter Douglas carries has its own specifications and let us professionally and promptly measure your windows according to the product you’ve selected.
I work during the day, is someone still able to come and measure?
We are pleased to provide evening appointments during the week and some Saturday appointments as well. We will happily keep our store open to show you the many blinds we have on display . Contact us today to see our availability.
What if I need new blinds for my cottage or chalet, can you still come and measure?
We are happy to come up to cottage country to make your home away from home as nice as possible. We ask that you provide us with rough measurements and if you approve our quote, we will come and measure and show you samples in the comfort of your cottage or chalet. Our professional installers will still provide the installation as well.
How long will it take to receive my blinds once I order them?
We are one of the fastest dealers to receive Hunter Douglas’ blinds. Your blinds will be ready within two to three weeks except for shutters which take a bit longer. Sometimes in peak season fabrics that are in high demand can be out of stock. It’s always best to order your blinds as soon as you’ve made your decision to avoid unnecessary wait times.
Do you provide installation?
We have several professional and certified Hunter Douglas installers that will arrive punctually at your home and install your blinds to your satisfaction. Hunter Douglas also provides their own installation service and can even contact you directly to provide you with an installer.
Do you provide repair services?
We provide complete repair services for Hunter Douglas blinds. This includes coming to your home to remove and re install your blinds, and shipping them directly to Hunter Douglas. Make sure to keep your original receipt and have it ready for us to forward to Hunter Douglas. Please phone us to enquire about pricing and policies.
Can my Hunter Douglas blinds be repaired on the spot?
Some small repairs can be handled on the spot by our professional installers such as replacing a continuous cordloop or reinstalling a broken bracket. However, more complicated repairs such as restringing or fixing the literise system will need to be shipped to Hunter Douglas for them to professionally repair your blinds. Make sure to keep your original receipt and have it ready for us to forward to Hunter Douglas.
